Artist’s Page
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Carolyn and I were, at one time entertainers. She is a singer and I a musician. A bass plaer to be exact. While Carolyn is more of a newcomers having only 4 years experience, I am somewhat more experienced. I’ve been in quite a few bands over the years.
Having been an entertainer is not a experience that you move on away from. It is somewhat addicting. It can be a hankering and it can be a everlasting love. With me, it leans toward the later. With Carolyn, I think is more to the other side.
In any case, we try tp pay attention to the music scene. We have made a number of friends during our entertaining days and met a good number of musicians. We have met enough to hear a lot of good (and bad) music. We salute them all because it takes a certain physci to get up there on stage ore than once.
We are adding a new artist to the Artist Page. This time the artist is a band. The band is California Honeydrops. Here’s a link to their website. myspace.com/thecaliforniahoneydrops
Please give them a listen
Ladies and Gentleman, Kalim Quevedo has become the first artist to bring his works to the Brick Pig’s House for display. His works will be on display until January. Kalim will be varying the pieces on display at his discretion so I wouldn’t wait to long to come see some of his work. Some are not on his website. For instance, although I did quick look, I didn’t find the protrait below on his site.
You know folks, I’m not an art expert but I keep looking at this portrait of a young person Kalim has on display here and I have become so engrossed in it that I find myself trying to figure what the subject was thinking about that would make him give such a warm and sincere smile. Sorry I haven’t seen the potrait on his website but this is a picture of .
